Our Past
The College commenced operations in a business office in Main Street, Pialba, on 1st July 1994. Our Foundation Principal was Mr Grahame Ginn (1994 - 2004). On 31st January 1995, the College opened its doors to 138 students from Years 1 to 8, and was officially Blessed, Dedicated and Opened on Saturday 1st April 1995 at a ceremony in the College grounds officiated at by the Most Reverend Peter Hollingworth, Archbishop of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane.
Over the subsequent years the College has experienced rapid growth both in student enrolments and the provision of facilities. The College’s Master Plan identified a number of stages for buildings. The most recent stage completed was stage 7.
The College now boasts an extensive built environment catering for the diverse learning needs of our children. This incorporates a state of the art Kindergarten facility, Prep School, general classrooms, Science lab
s, a Technology precinct with 6 computer labs, music centre, covered multi-purpose area, drama class room, catering and food technology laboratory, industrial technology building, administration offices, staff rooms, shade areas, etc. The Fraser Chapel (formerly St Mary’s the Virgin Anglican Church) was moved from Tewantin to the College site.
At the first Speech Day, the Primary administration building was named the Coman Building after the Executive Officer of the Anglican School’s Commission, Dr Peter Coman. Other buildings are named after commonly noted local shrubs and trees. The Houses of the College are named after stars or star systems.
Our Present
Currently there are approximately 800 students ranging from Kindy to Year 12. We have a teaching staff of approximately 60 who teach a wide variety of subjects. They are very well supported by a team of support staff who together provide for the efficient operation of the school.

Our involvement in Anglican spirituality is gentle and pervasive, but it is certainly not aggressive. By the time our Year 12 students graduate, they can feel the genuine and heart-warming spirituality that all have gained. We believe, very much, in providing an environment that welcomes a variety of religious beliefs, but, nonetheless, provides an Anglican code of ethics and values by which to live.
We have a full and exciting Calendar of events with activities to suit all. Our communication is of high quality and includes the website, prospectus, Online@FCAC, the school diary, annual magazine (The Constellation), an Annual Report, an informative front sign, regular information evenings and the weekly Newsletter (The Comet) which is a useful source of information for the College community.
Our Parents & Friends Association is an active group whose three main tenets are to raise friends, raise funds and raise faith in the School. They organise a number of exciting events each year. The College Foundation is a separately incorporated group who attempt to raise large scale funds to improve or construct buildings within the school. The College Council consists of local men and women whose responsibility it is to ensure the good governance of the College.
