The School provides an academic program of high standards - a Christian-based, holistic education that develops the intellectual, physical and spiritual lives of individual students in a caring and secure way. Our focus is on preparation for tertiary education but we have flexibility within our curriculum to tailor programs for individual needs through Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
The curriculum is generally organised around the nationally recognised Key Learning Areas (KLAs) and are based on the Queensland Studies Authority’s KLA Syllabuses of English, Mathematics, Science, Studies of Society and the Environment, Technology, Arts, LOTE (Chinese or French) and Health and Physical Education. In addition, the school teaches Christian Living as part of its spiritual development program.
The school has three sub-schools – Junior School (P – 6), Middle School (7 - 9) and Senior School (10 - 12).
Class sizes at the College are generally quite small which enables all students to readily gain access to teaching staff.
COPE is a P - 12 program that strives to give the students at the College the confidence to tackle life. In an attempt to offer something outside of the curriculum constraints, which would have a profound effect on the students, we developed this unique program. It incorporates a range of different programs but the Outdoor Education program forms its basis.
