Scholarships offered at Fraser Coast Anglican College

ACER - CSTP ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS - Online Registration Available Now

Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) Scholarships are available for students who will move into Year 8 or Year 11 in 2009.  Fraser Coast Anglican College participates in the Co-operative Scholarship Testing Programme (CSTP).  The 2008 ACER Scholarship exam registrations, for entry into the 2009 school year, are now open.

Scholarships are available on a competitive basis, that is, students must sit for an exam. The examination, known Australia wide as the Co-operative Scholarship Testing Program is set and marked by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and is being held at FCAC on Saturday 10 May 2008. On-line registrations close on Friday 11 April 2008 after which registrations will incur a late fee.

To apply you can simply submit either the Year 8 or Year 11 form button and follow the prompts for the CSTP regsitration. If you are unable to register online, then please call into the main administration building at Fraser Coast Anglican College to collect an application form, or contact Mr Peter Carey at the College ((07) 4124 5411) if you would like a form mailed to you. There is a $90.00 application fee. (A late fee of $100.00 plus the application fee is payable for all enrolments received after 11 April 2008).

The awarding of the Scholarship is at the Principal’s discretion following an interview with both the student and parents. Awardees will retain the Scholarship in following years provided they maintain performance and conduct commensurate with the award.

MUSIC PERFORMANCE SCHOLARSHIPS

Details regarding this scholarship for entry into 2009 will be posted early in 2008.

A variety of Music Performance Scholarships are available ranging from part remission (25%) of the College’s general tuition fee to part remission (25%) of the published music tuition fees scholarships and will be awarded on the basis of a successful audition which consists of two contrasting own chosen pieces, Aural Test and Sight reading Test.

PRINCIPAL’S DISCRETION SCHOLARSHIPS

Details regarding this scholarship for entry into 2009 will be posted early in 2008.

Students applying for a Principal’s Discretion Scholarship will exhibit strong leadership qualities, be a role model for their peers and be a “team player”. They will be an “all-rounder”, possessing skills and abilities in a variety of areas.  Principal’s Discretion Scholarships are provided for part remission of the published General Tuition fees.

ANGLICAN SCHOLARSHIPS

Details regarding this scholarship for entry into 2009 will be posted early in 2008.

Anglican Scholarships are awarded to children of Anglicans who are active in their local parish.  Applicants submit  a short resume outlining church involvement and christian service together with a letter of support from their local parish priest. Scholarships are provided for part remission of published general tuition fees.
