Fraser Coast Anglican College is committed to providing a wide range of learning opportunities across all areas of the curriculum and to nurturing individual student’s talents and interests.  

Applications are now open for the College’s 2018 Academic and General Excellence Scholarships.  The College has opportunities available for Full and Half Scholarships in 2018 and invites all students currently in Years 6-11 to apply.  

The Scholarships are open for FCAC students and prospective students who wish to join our FCAC community.

Please note that we encourage students to apply for one or more of the Scholarships on offer.

Academic Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded based on performance on an examination that will be completed online (similar in style to NAPLAN assessment) and following an interview, will be awarded for 2018 and beyond.

The Academic Scholarship exam will be held at the College at 10am on Saturday 11 November 2017 at no charge to parents.  To be eligible to sit this exam, students must register with the College by close of business on 3 November 2017.

Interviews will be scheduled after the examination results have been processed and the appropriate paperwork has been received by the College (Registration Form, Report Cards and NAPLAN results).

General Excellence Scholarship

Scholarships for General Excellence are awarded based on review of a portfolio of the student’s areas of expertise.  These scholarships are based on performance across one or more areas of excellence, eg. Sport, Academics, Music, Visual Art and Drama, etc.

Students who wish to be considered for the General Excellence Scholarships are also encouraged to complete the examination outlined in the Academic Scholarship information.  It is not compulsory but encouraged as these results may support your General Excellence application.

Portfolios need to provide evidence of the applicant’s abilities in their chosen area/s of General Excellence; last two report cards and any evidence that will illustrate to the panel that this applicant is operating at a high level.

Portfolios are due on 10 November, 2017.  Please submit these to the Fraser Coast Anglican College, Main Reception by 4pm on this day for the attention of Mrs Brenda Avent, Principal’s Assistant.
