FCAC Parents and Friends Association
Who are we?
The Parents and Friends Committee is a "Principal's Committee" of the College. The P&F Committee for 2008 are as follows:
President: Lindy Robbins
Vice-President and School Liaison person: Bernardine McCawley
Treasurer: Annette Hoberg
Secretary:
Glenys Norton
Committee members: Lee Catterall,
Christine Boyle, Keith Jacobs and Heather Sugget.
Members: All parents, staff, and friends of the school.
Why are we here?
The main roles of the P&F are:
- To encourage and provide opportunities for friendship and networking within the College Community.
- To facilitate ongoing and constructive communication between the parent body, teaching and administrative staff at the school.
- To raise money to provide facilities and resources for the benefit of our children, to enhance their learning opportunities within the school environment.
- To support the provision of Canteen services at the College.
- Assist the College and Principal in such matters as Uniform policy and provision.
What did we achieve in 2007?
Our 2 major fundraisers were a Combined Schools Car Raffle which raised
approximately $5,000 and our Oktoberfest which raised approximately $6,000.
Donations were made to the school for the purchase of the following items:
$1,000 for Chess equipment;
$1,940 for Drama Theatre Lighting;
$1,700 for an Industrial Design Dept Planer;
$2,000 for a contribution to the Water Grant for the school; and
$5,000 for Equipment for the new Middle School with further funds still to
be allocated.

If you are a parent or friend of the College and you own or operate a business, or if you possess particular skills which may benefit the P&F in their fundraising and social endeavours, then please contact the P&F through the secretary.

We welcome all parents. We encourage you as parents to take an active interest in the activities of the school, the students and the College community. Involvement with your P&F will provide this ongoing contact in a stress free and friendly environment.
If you are unable to attend a meeting but would like an item placed on our agenda for discussion, please write to the Secretary, Glenys Norton, via the school, or send an email to the . All correspondence will be collected or forwarded to the P& F.
Meetings will be held once a month excluding school holidays at 7 p.m. in the Middle and Senior School Library, Administration building. Please visit our Calendar to view the meeting dates.
Remember this is a committee for both primary and secondary schools.
