FCAC 2016 OP Results
‘This year’s OP results are simply outstanding’ was how Principal Leisa Harper described the performance of the Year 12 class of 2016.
‘Well done to Joshua and Mansi on achieving an OP1, this is an excellent result’.
‘In fact, the whole community should be proud of the OP results achieved this year. The students and staff have worked together to attain results that allow each student to have a wide range of post-school opportunities. Whether this involves achieving the OP needed to get into a chosen university course or the development of future focussed, resilient and flexible thinkers, our holistic approach to the development of the whole child clearly pays dividends in achieving excellent outcomes for students.’
‘Our mission is to provide a supportive Christian community and a high quality learning environment which enriches the body, mind and spirit, challenging each individual student to develop a love of learning, build confidence, serve others, have options for the future and to realise their full potential,’ Mrs Harper added.
‘Our talented and professional staff support our students in these endeavours by enabling a supportive learning environment in which it is safe to take responsible academic risks and view mistakes as valuable learning experiences.’
While our Years 11–12 curriculum tends to focus more on the academic subjects that lead towards tertiary entry, in Years 7–10 the curriculum is designed to complement the developmental requirements of a community of learners. This objective is achieved by offering an increasingly wide range of subjects and the introduction of our new Edge Program. At FCAC we are preparing our students to have the edge in a modern workforce by developing the skills that industry tells us will increase their attractiveness to future employers.’
