Schools Back for 2017
Students from across the country will prepare for their first day of school on Monday 23 January.
Fraser Coast Anglican College is excited to be meeting over 50 new prep students on the first day of their formal educational journey.
The College will also welcome many new students from local and interstate locations. In addition, we have 16 long term international students from Germany, France, Hong Kong, Thailand, Nepal, and Brazil joining us on campus. These students are looking forward to making new friends and settling into their new school routine and life on the Fraser Coast.
Principal Mrs Leisa Harper has been spending her time over the past few weeks working with staff and meeting new parents to ensure a smooth start to the school year.
“I am sure that 2017 will be a year to remember, not only for our young Prep students who begin their love of learning, but also for our Senior School students, particularly our Year 12 cohort, who will be working hard to achieve OP results that will make themselves, their family and our community proud.” Mrs Harper said.
“Our Class of 2016 performed exceptionally well with two of our students receiving OP 1’s. This is a reflection of the commitment to hard work of our students, and the dedication of our teachers in the delivery of the excellent programs we offer here at the College.”
“In 2017 we are excited to be launching our new inclusive program ‘Edge”. This program is designed to develop the skills that industry is seeking in prospective employees. It prepares our students for their future in a modern workforce.” Principal Harper added.
“At FCAC, we are focused on our holistic development of a student through our regular programs, our extra-curricular activities, our Outdoor Education experiences and the positive relationships we develop between our staff, students and College community. We are providing our students with an ‘edge’.”
