International students at Fraser Coast Anglican College experience all educational aspects of school life while also being fully supported by a dedicated group of staff that continually track and support each student in our care.
Students may elect to study from one term (nine to ten weeks), one semester (six months), one year or more. Students may study from Year 4 to Year 12 on a visa guardianship basis.
Our International students enjoy full immersion into College life by attending classes with domestic students and having the opportunity to complete their formal secondary education (matriculation). These students also make lifelong friendships with their fellow classmates and enjoy various opportunities to participate in outdoor education through camps and excursions.
Fraser Coast Anglican College’s broad curriculum provides a range of subjects that can be tailored to the interests and talents of each student. Many International students enjoy the opportunity to study Marine Science or Aquatic Practices, experiencing Hervey Bay’s natural environment as part of their academic studies.
Senior students are offered the opportunity of studying ESL English, a QCAA Authority subject and are provided with support from our English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher to ensure they feel confident when studying this subject.
International students are encouraged to participate in a range of academic, cultural and sporting activities in line with the College’s values of ‘Enriching Body, Mind and Spirit’.
Our International students are cared for by our dedicated homestay families who provide a safe, caring and supportive environment for them to undertake their studies and enjoy an Australian cultural experience.
