Transitioning to Year 7

Year 7 is a time for our students to explore their potential.  Our top priority in these transition years is to build a culture of mutual trust and respect; to provide a safe place for students to make mistakes and learn from them, and further develop their skills to become confident, independent learners.

Year 7 students have the majority of their lessons in their own building.  This facility includes contemporary spaces and rooms for smaller groups and individuals to work with specialist teachers.  Students also access our state of the art science labs, art and design technology facilities.

The transition from primary school to secondary school can be challenging.  Initiatives such as our Year 7 information evenings, orientation days, buddy program and Spirt Week all assist new students enter an environment which is welcoming. Spirit Week takes students out of the classroom to engage with one another, building new relationships across all year levels, and challenge themselves with activities requiring them to think differently and to be inspired.

To find out more about our Year 7 program come along to our Open Day on Friday 16th July from 3.00-6.00pm with a special Year 7 information session at 3.30pm.  Alternatively, contact our Registrar on 4124 5411 or email [email protected].  We would love to show you around our beautiful campus and share our passion for education with you.
