Australia's Regional School of the YearFCAC named Regional School of the Year at the Australian Education Awards
FCAC Principal Joe Wright said, “We are deeply honoured to be recognised as the nation’s top regional school,” he said.
“Our students, staff and community own this award. Their hard work, dedication, inclusiveness, and innovation make our community a special place.”
The National Excellence award considers a school’s academic results, educational and pastoral programs, links with parents and the wider community, effective management of facilities and finances, and a demonstrated commitment to innovation and improvement.
An award winning education
“It is a historic moment for FCAC and the Fraser Coast to be named as Australia’s top regional school,” said Mr Wright, who commenced as Principal in 2018 and has overseen a strong period of growth in enrolments and results.
“This recognition is incredibly meaningful to our community, and it cements our position as a leading independent school and also as a catalyst for excellence on the Fraser Coast.”
FCAC was the first independent school founded on the Fraser Coast and opened its doors to 138 students on the 31st of January 1995. Since those early days, the school has seen many changes, but the core values have never changed.
