Before & After School Care

Registered Out Of School (ROOS) Care & Vacation Care

ROOS Care values providing a welcoming, safe, non-judgemental and educationally inspired service for children, families and the wider community.

The College ROOS Care service provides care for children:

  • Before school from 7:00am
  • After school until 6.00pm
  • During school holidays; and
  • On Staff Only Days during the school term

ROOS Care supports the College’s programs by providing consistency in expectations. The service implements the framework for school-aged care in Australia, “My Time, My Place”. This framework assists educators to provide children with opportunities to maximize their potential whilst developing a foundation for future success.

Enrolments & Bookings

To enrol in to ROOS Care complete an Application Form and return to Main Administration.

Bookings may be permanent or casual. For further information or bookings please call ROOS Care direct on 4197 9301 during session hours or contact our College Administration on 4124 5411 or via email [email protected].

Quality framework

The ROOS Care service is licensed by the Office of Early Childhood Education and Care under the Education Care Services National Law Act, and complies with the Education and Care Services National Regulations December 2011, under the Australian Government’s National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care.

The National Quality Standard is a key aspect of the National Quality Framework and sets a benchmark for quality education and care that includes the implementation of the framework for school-aged care in Australia. ACECQA is the national body responsible for providing oversight of the framework. For more information: www.acecqu.gov.au

Our ROOS Care service was rated in March 2021 and received the rating of EXCEEDING to national standard in all seven areas.

ROOS Care is registered for the Childcare Benefit/Child Care Rebate which is a payment made to families to assist with the costs of child care. Australian residents using child care provided by an approved child care service may receive these benefits. Benefits are based on an income assessment and can be applied for through Centrelink. All child care details are confidential and it is the parent’s responsibility to provide their details of entitlements to the service upon enrolment.

Fraser Coast Anglican College ROOS Care service has an extensive Policy and Procedure manual which reflects the philosophy and goals of the service ensuring wellbeing, health and safety for all. Upon enrolment, families are provided with a tour, orientation and Parent Handbook which provides families a snapshot of the service policies and procedures.
